Full-Time Executive Committee Members

Chairperson: Sandy Hudson

As the full-time Chairperson of the Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario, Sandy is the official spokesperson and helps to coordinate the campaigns and government relations of the Federation. Previously, she served two terms as President and one term as Vice-President Equity of the University of Toronto Students' Union (CFS Local 98). Sandy also served as the Women's Representative and the Racialised Students' Representative to the National Executive of the Canadian Federation of Students.

Sandy is a community and campus organiser who has spearheaded anti-racism and anti-violence initiatives. She has also helped organise two province-wide days of action for affordable education. Sandy finished her double major of sociology and political science at the University of Toronto in June 2010.

National Executive Representative: Krisna Saravanamuttu

Krisna Saravanamuttu is serving his first term as the Ontario Representative on the National Executive of the Canadian Federation of Students. Krisna helps to coordinate and expand the Federation's many services, including thousands of student discounts and the bulk-purchasing of ethically-made t-shirts, water bottles and other back-to-school items. He also plays a central organizing role in mobilizing members for the various Federation campaigns.

Previously, Krisna served two consecutive terms as President and one term as Vice-President Equity of the York Federation of Students (CFS Local 68). He also served two consecutive terms as the Racialized Students Representative on the National Executive of the Canadian Federation of Students and the Racialized Students' Commissioner for the Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario. Krisna was a member of the CFS-Ontario Task Force on Campus Racism, which sought to identify discrimination affecting racialized students on campuses across Ontario. He has also participated in several lobby sessions with elected politicians and senior government representatives, as well as various student actions calling for substantial policy change.
