In March 2010, the Government of Ontario announced two more years of tuition fee hikes. This, in combination with increases to public loan maximums, will further download the cost of post-secondary education from the public onto individual students, continuing the trend of privatisation of Ontario's post-secondary education system.

As the trend towards privatisation continues, it is time to call on governments to prioritise post-secondary education and maintain public education for the public good. Governments must work provincially and federally to depend public education as a right for all.
